Check out the Build tab....
We will be updating the Build page with all the photos as we trundle along - perhaps that should be WHIZZZZZZZZ!!!
We have a fence, we had a digger/big machine on site inserting the screw piers - apparently due to the sandy soil... that digger also dug out the footings for the alfreso. Our slab supervisor is very nice and informative as well!
We had people spray painting the dirt.... and sorting out where conduit goes - lucky we were there as the "slab plan" (who knew the blankish page with outlines was for the slab-folks??) - had our meter box located on the outside of the garage - but we had moved it to the left front of house... The busy page on the construction plan had this in the right place.. so we sorted it out there and then :)
Onwards and upwards... more pics to come today.. plumbing are on site today for drainage ....

Blue Paint - to mark for cut and fill on our block!!!!
1/2 way through the 20 days to start construction and we've noticed more pegs and marks for cutting our block. The pegs with red paint on the top appear to be the boundary markers for where the slab preparation will take place.
And we also noticed blue paint marking a diagonal line across the block - which appears to be approximately where the cut and fill line is planned.
It's getting closer now!!

So much and so little change in just 3 months
Since our last post 3 months ago there has been movement in the house progression and in our lives....
- Anita started a new and permanent job.
- The land came out of LPI, and the developer wasn't ready to settle - and our pre-approval expired, so we had to be re-pre-approved - with Anita's new job only 2 weeks in. Stressful!
- We moved from one rental house to another, closer to where we are building.
- We settled on the land and watched the drastic change in our bank balances happen... quite shocking that!
- MJH notified us that they were changing the gas hot water supplier from Dux to Rheem, and we saw that there were 2 models available. We've arranged for an upgrade in the Rheem model.
- MJH notified us that we are getting an upgraded SMEG oven. We go from 5 functions and 80 litre capacity to 10 functions and 90 litre capacity.
- We signed the loan paperwork for the build portion of the loan.
- We rode herd on MJH to get the Sydney Water approval stamp and finally got our build plans lodged with CDC.
- Jayne's 50th birthday came and went - and we greatly enjoyed the influx of rellies from Kiwi-land and friends local and far.
And now we are waiting. The bank is ready to provide the Authorisation to Commence Construction notice.. all they need is council/CDC approved build plans.

The waiting game.. So Near...... tick tock tick tock
06 June 2015 - Fun times.... so very close now... Our land is in LPI and stages 40-43 have all registered as at 5th June.... our stage 44 is still sitting in "under examination" - so any day now we will move into "Registered - Folios being created"... then about 2 weeks (so we're told) until we hand over the $$ and we are officially landowners!
Updates will be flowing again as action stations being... We will be notifying MJH as soon as registration is confirmed so they can line their little ducks up...
One thing we have noticed and have advised the developer... the block we have purchases is 510m2.. 17m frontage and 30m deep.. however so far our scraped block measures the 17m frontage... and about 16m deep.... seems there's a problem/issue with a tree that will come down when they make our block as big as it needs to be... we will see what happens in the next few days... we advised the developer about 3 weeks ago and very little has changed.... w a t c h t h i s s p a c e . . .
