So much and so little change in just 3 months

Since our last post 3 months ago there has been movement in the house progression and in our lives....

  • Anita started a new and permanent job.
  • The land came out of LPI, and the developer wasn't ready to settle - and our pre-approval expired, so we had to be re-pre-approved - with Anita's new job only 2 weeks in. Stressful!
  • We moved from one rental house to another, closer to where we are building.
  • We settled on the land and watched the drastic change in our bank balances happen... quite shocking that!
  • MJH notified us that they were changing the gas hot water supplier from Dux to Rheem, and we saw that there were 2 models available. We've arranged for an upgrade in the Rheem model.
  • MJH notified us that we are getting an upgraded SMEG oven. We go from 5 functions and 80 litre capacity to 10 functions and 90 litre capacity.
  • We signed the loan paperwork for the build portion of the loan.
  • We rode herd on MJH to get the Sydney Water approval stamp and finally got our build plans lodged with CDC.
  • Jayne's 50th birthday came and went - and we greatly enjoyed the influx of rellies from Kiwi-land and friends local and far.
And now we are waiting. The bank is ready to provide the Authorisation to Commence Construction notice.. all they need is council/CDC approved build plans.
